The Safety Expo is the only statewide safety training and construction management expo servicing the needs of educating constituents in the building and construction trades by further enhancing safety training and safe work practices.

The Expo event also presents vendors exhibiting their latest products and services during the trade show held in conjunction with training sessions. Expo exhibitors have a deep commitment to safety in the workplace and are the reason the Expo continues to offer training at an unparalleled value without sacrificing quality and value. It is the belief that this combination of Expo vendors together with safety training that this education forum will help employers raise the level of safety awareness.

The 5th Annual Expo: A resounding success! Over 1,000 construction and building industry professionals attended the 3-day event held at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento April 7-9. The numbers exceeded the expectations, particularly in light of the current condition of the economy affecting this industry. Although the economy definitely did not deter attendees from registering and participating at the $50.00 event fee, which proved to be a very attractive rate for three days of training. Employers, education and workforce development organizations took advantage of sending several employees for a multitude of training in equipment and OSHA 10 compliance certification courses; construction safety; as well as the many construction management offerings. There were more than 20 new classes not previously offered, including Green sessions that proved to be very popular. The Expo was proud to have Len Welsh, Chief, California Division of Occupational Safety and Health present on the well-attended session topic, “View from the Top.”

The very successful one-day trade show presented more than 30 local exhibiting companies displaying their equipment, products, and services to Expo attendees. The backbone of the event are not only the Expo exhibitors but our sponsors, who, because of their commitment, support and generous contributions, that we are able to continue offering an uncompromising value without sacrificing quality programming to the construction industry community.
