Public Equipment Managers Association (PEMA) Presents Sessions at the 2010 Safety Expo

We are pleased to announce a joint education venture together with the Public Equipment Managers Association (PEMA).  PEMA will be offering several sessions during the 2010 Expo.  A sampling of the proposed sessions are as follows:  Air Brakes, Air Conditioning, Basic Hydraulics, Hybrids, OBD II, Automotive Body Controls/Serial Data; CHP BIT Inspection and Opacity Certification.  Descriptions and course outlines for these classes will be available in the up-coming 2010 Safety Expo Attendee Registration Guide and the official 2010 Safety Expo registration site. 

PEMA is an information and networking organization whose member base consists of Fleet Managers, Supervisors, Mechanics, and Parts Technicians from Public Fleets in Northern California along with other Professionals in the Vehicle and Equipment field.  PEMA’s purpose is to provide a means for free interchange of experience, technical knowledge, and opinions; to promote coordination of effort, training, cooperation and exchange of information between equipment mainrenance personnel of governmental agencies and public utilities; to coordinate with private industry and in matters concerning the operation, maintenance and repair of a Public Motor Vehicle Fleet.

    Thank you for PEMA’s announcement. I was going to offer the PEMA website link –but it seems to be broken currently and not directing to the correct page. I will contact our webmaster and get it fixed. Also we are dropping the Opacity class and attempting to get several CARB overview classes to dicuss the ins and outs of the Diesel rules.
